Followed which part of the story above? This part?

Thanks for the psychoanalysis, Foghorn.
If there was any evidence whatsoever that the dog was killing chickens, this wouldn't be an issue (and I wouldn't be writing about it). But there is no evidence--and that's not the only thing there's no evidence of. There's also no evidence that the dog was ever on Mr. Nelson's property.

They're liberals, you lost them at 'personal responsibility' and 'behaviors have consequences.' They, and their dogs, are victims. Try an argument like "farmers like Gene have been victimized by dog owners for decades". They understand identity politics.

Helps them sleep at night. They were trying to paint Kavanough as a drunk, which he isn't, and even if he was, he clearly isn't. I understand with the supreme court on the line why liberals would pull out all stops and attempt this character assassination. But we all understand that's what they were doing, and they lost (again) because they did a piss poor job of it. I just wish there was more honestly about it. You know, like when Democrats complain about the electoral college and republicans losing the popular vote. It's simple, if you have the mandate, if people truly agree with you, then you should have no problems getting the votes and elected people to make that change. The problem is they don't, and rather than question that maybe other people have legitimate reasons for thinking they way they do, they think the other side is stupid. In this case, I think that Harry has some preconceived notions about how frat boys are, and perhaps he's jealous of Kavanough's accomplishments. Could be pride messing with him.

Yep outraged by this but not a peep with the Obama-led drone strikes killing innocents 90% of the time with his strikes, or when Dropped 26,171 bombs in 2016 alone (an average of 72 bombs every day), or when he dropped bombs in 7 countries, must have all been too distracted on their obama-phones or sitting in clinics misusing the healthcare system now that they are entitled to "free" health insurance...
There was a lady in my community who dealt with a dog going into her garden. She warned the owner saying she would not let it happen twice, and the next time the dog was in her garden she shot it. Since the dog was on her land ruining her property she had the right to defend it. She never got into trouble for her actions, the dog and owner however did suffer the conquence of irresponsibility.

It's possible we've spoken before, though I doubt we travel in the same circles. I think you have Justice Roberts as the swing vote that you're looking for. Don't you think it's a tad disgusting that Kagan came out and said she and Sotomayor will always make liberal rulings? Like established law and the constitution doesn't matter to them? Made me want to vomit. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/opinions/wp/2018/10/08/justice-kagan-is-warning-us-and-her-colleagues/

Right. MsEss, consult a laywer and stop sharing your uninformed drivel. The police already investigated. Reminds me of South Park from back in the day "He's coming right for us."

Oh FarEYE, you'll figure out one day, when the responsibility fairy taps you on the shoulder, that you're on the wrong side of this argument. Until then, keep playing the victim card. It'll get you a free cup of coffee at John's house.
