Thank you for this well written insightful account. We on the outside have only the accounts of others to rely on. We see press conferences where words are thrown around like "pipe bombs" "riots" "unlawful" and coming from "officials" we are conditioned to believe what is said. We see "protectors" with no malice being attacked by dogs and being arrested while the actual attackers walk away unchallenged! We've witnessed two completely differing accounts of the same situation and we wonder why there is such a variation being portrayed of the truth! Your account resonates TRUTH and substantiates the accounts of the Standing Rock Protectors.

I seen an interview on KFYR-TV, with a farmer who had a holstered pistol on his hip, saying the sheriff department encouraged him and other locals to be prepared to defend themselves. I fear this vigilante type act, approved by the Morton County Sheriff's department will escalate into something more serious. I thought that is why all the law enforcement and national guard are present to keep peace and protect all. Arming red neck farmers/ranchers is not the answer for protection. It's just a matter of time before these vigilantes are going to take the law into their own hands. I wonder if back ground checks and licenses to carry handguns were checked out ? I see on CNN, violent protesting and looting going on in the cities and the police are armed with nothing but batons and shields ..... what's with all the fire power against our peaceful protectors in Standing Rock?

Why do we need another pipeline? There are already 9 gas and hazardous materials pipelines crossing the Missouri River. Why is the government and big banks being so fanatic about this line? I have so many questions.And why is this peaceful and prayerful demonstration and the people taking part being so persecuted?
