There would be more money made renting the land to the public for mixed use recreation and subsistence harvesting or even for memorials as the German forest manager Peter Wohlleben points out in his book, "The Hidden Life of Trees."
If one evaluates the dollar value of the logs as it leaves the forest, and the time it takes to reach harvest again, the state and private landowners are virtually paying people to take the wood after the administrative/property taxes are taken into consideration (Forest product industry welfare).
The state could put in small primitive cabins in environmentally suitable locations w/designated sporting areas: quiet/hiking/snowshoe or atv/snow machine, with hunting and fishing.
Logging could continue but the managers could consider a different and more "attractive" and productive specie profile. There is a big demand and good prices for large slow growing trees and maple sap harvesting could be a boon.
If you run the numbers you will see where money is to be made while enhancing the "ecological services" provided by a maturing forest. There are more trees other than aspen that are known to grow here.
A clever land manager might be able to pull this off in spite of government mandates.

I then found this second article you have written and skimmed through it. I found the upside down Trump sign comical. How does someone very hateful of our next president own his own campaign sign? Another funny part of your first article was the use of the word I have seen constantly used over and over in liberal media was the smearing word misogynistic, along with the others (bigot, racist, etc.). You then went on to talk about race. How do you as a white male (judging by your editorial picture) bring the "white race" into your argument? Claiming that his supporters are only angry white voters, while you yourself appear to be white or more PC Caucasian? Along with seeming very angry at his historical victory? It seems very racist and hypocritical of you to state these "facts". Concerning your second Bozo article, I laughed reading your subtitle of climate change. I didn't bother to read what your thoughts were and assume they are your scientific understanding about the subject, but if you are talking about the stratosphere being 11 - 31 mi above the earth that contains our ozone and gases at least fact check before you spout off about your vast knowledge of the atmosphere and climate science. I'm happy to no longer be picking up the reader after reading the biased hateful articles it contains. Thank you for making my decision very clear.
