So, here we have John, "radioactive John", ignoring his own body's radiation of thousands of beta & gamma decays per second that have challenged all his cells for all his life, and he's ignorant of the fact that the nuke plant he misleads us about is far less radioactive than his writing muscles.

Amazing. We needn't see the White House as the exclusive source of "fake news", because John has mastered 'alternative facts' himself.

More like "John Rumors"

I worry for Chisholm. Veteran Films is a non profit company that has it's office listed as Chisholm City Hall. In articles they state that Ironbound & Veteran's never knew each other till lately. Then they decide to work together. They are located in the same building. Strange?

John Rumors. They’re shooting a movie. Things are up and running. What concern is it if yours how they run their business. Dive into any business and start meddling in their books and inner workings good way to make enemies. For one don’t ask questions you really don’t want answers to. Rumor has it you have a few skeletons.

More than a few.

According to producer Steven Reed, they listed that address for Veteran Films so they can receive mail at Ironbound while filming and production is going on. He seemed cooperative and upfront with me when I spoke with him. So far, nothing has happened to change that impression.

I am grateful to Duluth Reader for bringing us the weekly column by Dr. Gary Kohls. His well-documented articles on vaccines serve as warnings to those who think that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) can be counted on to give unbiased advice to doctors and their patients. Doctors are categorically ill informed on the subject, due in large part to their dependence on CDC proclamations, and on guidelines issued by pharmaceutical industry lobbying organizations like the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Here are some questions that skeptical readers of Kohls' current column need to ask themselves. When you or your child receives a vaccination, has the doctor in charge of the procedure ever warned you to report back to his or her medical office if there is an adverse (negative or harmful) reaction to the shot? Have you ever been given the vaccine package insert outlining all of the possible side effects? Has any medical professional ever told you about the Vaccine Adverse Effect Reporting System (VAERS)? Are you aware that no vaccine imparts lifetime immunity? Do you know that vaccine manufacturers can't be sued for any reason?

Both articles in the Duluth News Tribune that he referred to are chock full of false claims and illogical reasoning. Baseball writer Tim Wendel says that "a world without vaccinations would be a much scarier place, especially for children." That is a falsehood based upon omission. What goes unsaid is that vaccines are filled with neuro-toxins, aluminum and mercury in particular. These accumulate in the brain and cause permanent damage. Also what goes unsaid is that one of the most common side effects of vaccines is encephalopathy, i.e. swelling of the brain. Of course, people would know that if they were given the vaccine package inserts.

Nobody connects the dots when it comes to encephalopathy being a known cause of Austism Spectrum Disorders. Least of all is Tim Wendel, who is a writer-in-residence at Johns Hopkins University. He might want to read "Brain inflammation a hallmark of autism, Johns Hopkins analysis shows." Yeah, that Johns Hopkins University.

I work there and with all the individuls involved. I can personally certify that the gentlemen involved are much nicer and less frowny than the illustrations would suggest.

Isn’t this a warning to us all as we contemplate the impact of copper nickel mining in the same area? The Hector mine was closed in the 50s. Who owns responsibility for the clean up. It isn’t the mine owners - they’ve taken their profits and are long gone. It is left to the taxpayers to foot the bill. And the cost will be many times more when the Polymet holding ponds fail. We’ve been warned!

Great job creating a false narrative in a headline and stirring up the anti-mining crowd. Too bad that most people read only the headlines instead of that the damage was caused by a washout from an overflow caused by beavers and washed out non-toxic sediments. The larger hazard is from the washed out sewage lines and suspended sediments from along the waterway. Too bad that was not the headline instead of the smaller print.

The story only said that "County Board Chair Keith Nelson blames the beavers" it displayed no evidence that beavers were involved. Data is the basis for conclusion. There is no data sited here that proves beavers or any animals were involved. Your sentence syntax then would say, "Dam Overflow Causes Toxic Spill into Waterway." Which would be far more inflammatory than this current headline. I think the "Duluth Reader," pulled their punch and took the less inflammatory headline. Very informative article, thank you for letting us know.

"Closed mine comes back to haunt the Northland"

Sooooo what's false about this headline. Closed mine spilled its contents into a public waterway. it sounds like beavers was thrown out there but it seems more likely that there was no monitoring of the mine. Since the company is long gone here we are paying the bill, but hey we saved a couple jobs.
