Excellent read, Positive site, where did u come up with the information on this posting? I have read a few of the articles on your website now, and I really like your style. Thanks a million and please keep up the effective work. You can use this https://rospher.com for any kind of writing work.
Excellent article Phil. My humble thanks for quoting me. I was mere blocks away when the worst mass shooting in U.S. history went down and I'm afraid the problem ain't goin' away anytime soon. Wayne LaPierre and the GOP are ensconced in a love affair that would make the one on Brokeback Mountain seem tepid by comparison. To throw one more quote on the pile, "Guns don't kill: the dimwits who insist EVERYONE should have the right to own 'em do." Best wishes -- QRB
Where abouts are the trestle footings, I'm curious, I've hiked a bunch in those areas and have never seen them, but too cool, I'd love to see them...I did find an old picture of thE RR bridge in Jay Cooke from like 1879...would the trestle footings be from that?! Love it! Thanks!
Very cool. I once lived near a RR that was built in the 1830s and abandoned in the 1850s. It was quite visible until suburban development wiped it out.
Wonderful. Have you ever studied Manitou Falls? North of Two Harbors on the Lake. My family owned the resort circa 1930, actually the land owned by Minnesota power and Grandpa Charleboix leased it for 100 years. It has since returned to wilderness and the power Co, the bridge is gone, the 15 cabins are gone, the path to the lake washed away. The waterfall into the lake was stunning.
Ashley, it's rough country, so just be careful. If you park in the Oldenburg Point parking lot and take the Ogantz Trail into the woods (it starts behind the restroom), after a while you will find yourself at a small sign that says "Overlook." Right now you are standing on the Skally Line. In one direction, the Ogantz Trail follows the Skally Line. In the other direction, you will be able to see the Skally Line continuing into the woods. There are trestle footings that way.
Don, I haven't been to Manitou Falls. Sounds like there might be some good stuff in the woods around there.
The fact that the vote to direct the superintendent to come up with a plan to keep the Comp money where it was generated passed 7-0 before the election and failed 3-3 after the election is the lowest form of cynical political expediency. As far as enrollment imbalances, all the DFL endorsed have called for boundary changes. Since they are not going to shift the boundary out to 39th avenue east, the only way enrollment equity can be achieved is for almost all the township kids to go to Denfeld. Enjoy! I also expect everyone to vote for a HUGE levy increase next year. This is what you either voted for directly or voted for indirectly by staying home.
Each week I turn to Dr. Kohls' column in the Duluth Reader for his important and well-informed articles on medical subjects. As an investigative journalist in my own right, I've spent some 2,000 hours on the subject of vaccine misinformation. He is spot on regarding the regulatory capture of the CDC and FDA by pharmaceutical companies. His "Duty To Warn" title speaks to the heart of the matter. It is the duty of medical professionals to learn more about vaccines and immunology. It can be summed up thusly: VACCINATION DOES NOT EQUAL IMMUNIZATION. Just because a vaccine causes the human body to produce antigens, it does not follow that it prevents the development of a disease.
Take the flu vaccines, for example. The companies that formulate them can only guess a year in advance which of the numerous strains of influenza will prevail at the time shots are given. At best they are 10% to 20% effective. Due to adjuvants like mercury, aluminum and formaldehyde which are in all flu vaccines, the shot actually suppresses the recipient's immune system for up to a month after being administered. Hence, many people actually catch the flu after getting the shot, giving the erroneous impression that the shot gave them the flu.
The pharmaceutical companies are guilty of propaganda up and down the line. What troubles me the most is that many of my fellow liberals buy the lies without question. The "everybody knows" attitude prevails, even when astounding facts are presented which can be readily verified. Nobody ever has an answer when I say that the US Court of Federal Claims has paid out over $3.6 BILLION DOLLARS in damages for injuries and deaths caused by vaccines. That is proof in a high federal American court. Among those cases are landmark judgements firmly laying blame for autism on a vaccine.
Just do a web search for "Ryan Mojabi vaccine judgement" and you will see that a lump sum of $969,474.91, to cover “lost future earnings ($648,132.74), pain and suffering ($202,040.17), and life care expenses for Year One ($119,302.00),” plus $20,000 for past expenses was awarded to his family by the Court for his vaccine caused autism.
Here is how the specious logic of the vaccine manufacturers covers up the autism connection. They say that "vaccines don't cause autism" over and over, which gives rise to the "everybody knows" syndrome in the public mind. In reality a side effect of vaccines is encephalopathy, swelling of the brain. This swelling, in turn can cause brain injury resulting in autism. Neat semantic trick, isn't it?
Here are a few questions that the public must consider. Why do physicians never give vaccine recipients the legally required package insert that accompanies each vial of vaccine? Why do they never tell parents to report back to them if there are any adverse effects? Why do they never tell anybody about the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS)? Why can't vaccine manufacturers be sued in a court of law for any reason? (Under the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act they are indemnified of all legal responsibility.)
Here is the real mind blower. Vaccines are never tested for safety. The gold standard, which all other drugs must be tested by, is the double-blind, placebo controlled study. In other words, drugs must be tested against placebos, basically sugar pills, in a significantly large population of patients for whom the medicine is intended. All new drugs must be tested this way...except vaccines.
I urge readers of Dr. Kohls' column to do their own research, and to ask these hard questions of their medical providers. It is deplorable that many vaccines are being forced upon people, with dire consequences should they refuse the shots. For absolute information on a given vaccine, do a web search for a PDF (portable document file) on a specific package insert. You will be astounded when reading the disclaimers and descriptions of risks to be found therein.

I always enjoy reading some of Annie Harala's "sentences." You're pretty sure she thinks she's going somewhere, but it's not clear where, or how she intends to get there, and then the statement ends. Thanks for the entertainment, Loren.
The My Pillow commercial is the bane of my existence. I took this survey for the express purpose of adding it to The Reader's most obnoxious commercial catagory. I can't stand Mike Lindell's dopey voice or the fact that he uses Jesus as a marketing tool by dangling a cross conspicuously from his shirt collar. But the worst thing is that the stupid commercial airs five billion gazillion times a day!!! (At least it does on antenna t.v.) It literally just came on as I write this! It's on so often I've memorized the words. I actually stopped at the My Pillow kiosk at Mall of America and ask the salesman if I bought one of the pillows, would they kill off the stupid commercial. He wasn't ammused.
