I am sorry, it was not the early 60's, it was September 1972. I was in Manila visiting a relative. There were heavy artillery guns protecting wealthy people's homes. There were huge dumps where poor people lived in shacks the built out of stuff from the dumps. It's getting more like that here.

If America elected him, what does that say about America? My first reaction to the election of Trump was that we need better schools. I went to a private girl's boarding school in Milwaukee to repeat my senior year because I had failed.
In the political science class we had a text book that taught how to recognize propaganda. I had attended public schools all over the country as an Army brat and I don't remember one textbook that was that interesting. Then in the World lit class the teacher taught us critical thinking. We had to write on why we did or did not believe in a God. I think if we had better schools, teachers and textbooks we would vote more intelligently. We would never vote for Trump over Hilary Clinton or Kamala Harris, really talented women who would have been terrific presidents.
