Cravaack’s bill, H.R. 5544, which would remove approximately 10 percent of Superior National Forest in exchange for state lands remaining within the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, received a committee hearing. PARK POINT…. As you must know by now, the Los Angeles Kings have finally won their first Stanley Cup in club history, and wrapped up an outstanding tournament performance with a Game 6 manhandling of the New Jersey Devils. The Game 6 final was 6-1 with a 1st-period KO, if the official scorers will allow that. The Kings finished the tournament with a 16-4 record. Folks, I have seen upwards of 50 Stanley Cup tourneys, and to say the Kings dominated their foes in the process of winning the greatest trophy in the world would be inadequate.

All 36 Grandma’s Marathons have been unique, even though the 26.2-mile run down Hwy. 61 from Two Harbors to Duluth’s Canal Park has taken on an air of similarity in recent years, to the point where cynics say “Which Kenyan will win this year?” Usually a couple of Ethiopian runners challenge the dominant Kenyans, but without question, the East Africans have taken over the race.

Written and directed by Peter McGrain and narrated by Oscar nominee, Woody Harrelson, the documentary gives a succinct and harrowing analysis of the state of our world, yet ends with the purview of our own real power.
