Members Co-op Credit Union

Duh! With the "too big to fail" Wallstreet criminals driving our country to the brink of financial ruin, why are we all not banking with local credit unions??? It states on the MCCU website, “It all started in the spring of 1936. A group of eight people from the Cloquet area envisioned a better way of getting the financial services our community needed. Each one deposited $5 and formed the organization with just $40 in capital. On January 1, 2001, the Cloquet Co-op Credit Union became Members Cooperative Credit Union. Today, more than 28,000 members have come together to pool nearly $345 million in assets. We’re proud of our growth, but we’re prouder of the fact that we continue to offer the same personal, responsive service our founders envisioned.”
