The United States Poet Laureate Joy Harjo (Muscogee Nation tribal member) will join Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College and the American Indian Community Housing Organization and for a special event on October 18, 2021, honoring Joy and her poetry/writing. The author of 9 books of poetry, several plays and children’s books, and two memoirs and the recipient of several national literary awards as well as seven award-winning music albums – Joy will share her poetry and share about her life and experience as the U.S. first American Indian Poet Laureate.
