Minnesota Health Plan Hearings

A bill before the US House, The Medicare for All Act of 2019 (HR 1384) proposes to expand the current Medicare to cover every American for every medical necessity. Minnesota has an additional piece of universal health care legislation authored by state Sen. John Marty, the Minnesota Health Plan (SF1125). With the GOP in control of the state Senate, Marty can’t get an official hearing for it. Instead he will have an “unofficial” Health and Human Services Committee Hearing in Duluth. It will have testimony from both sides and is free to all comers.
