Chester Day
On June 12th, we invite you to Glensheen to celebrate Chester Day with us. It will be the 165th birthday of one of Duluth’s most historically impactful figures, Chester Congdon.
Congdon’s achievements are still seen to this day, as he was vital to Minnesota’s iron ore industry, founded North Shore Drive, donated the land that is now Congdon Park, and his Glensheen estate is one of the most important locations for Duluth’s tourism industry.
Those who visit Glensheen on June 12th will be given a free Chester-like mustache, and those who arrive bearing their own Chester influenced mustache will be given free entry onto Glensheen’s grounds.
Standard tour rates apply.
