One of Minnesota¹s oldest triathlons celebrates its 39th year. The swim on Island Lake, 20 miles north of Duluth, is followed by a bike ride on newly paved roads and a run that combines asphalt and gravel roads. Spectators can watch the start and finish, as well as the shorter Buzz Ryan Triathlon, from the picnic area.
