March Madness

Ain’t it as rich as Romkugler the way some cats play with a ball of yarn until, having pawed and unrolled it all over the place, it just won’t roll across the floor anymore?
Sometimes, in the green radar light of a guided missile night it reminds us of finding haystacks in needles or how this spring blood spills onto sand and snow.
Still, we know that Smelt won’t run until Lake Superior’s ice lets ships sail into Duluth again and kids with kites sail the wind as friends.
Before Selection Sunday bounces its March Madness into jingoes with Javelins, jaw dropping jets
sink long range shots like they are layups at the rim.
Offence is the name of the game where shooting guards fire away, fire away for flags that fall or gain fame. If teams don’t go beyond the Final Four fans like voters show them the door.
“Beware the Ides of March” when in February it marches in. Beware leprechauns who trade gold for hard targets and peace spin.
If a snowman grows from a snowball can a blizzard blow into cannonballs? You might say it’s rich that, like an unraveled ball of yarn, the Volcano Cake of War was again added to our menu.
