Helsinki revisited

As he did at Helsinki in 2018, Donald Trump is once again shamelessly sucking up to the world’s most evil man, our sworn enemy, who’s sole purpose in life is to restore the Russian empire and weaken the United States and its allies as much as possible. Trump’s treatment of an ally, a man literally fighting for the life of his country, was an embarrassing, outrageous, unprecedented display of bullying -  in the Oval Office, on national TV, IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE WORLD! – all undoubtedly choreographed to please Vladimir Putin, his partner in crime.

     Plain and simple, history will view Donald Trump a coward, and even worse, a traitor, his name to be mentioned in the same breathe with the likes of Vidkun Quisling and Benedict Arnold. For those who still cling to the absurd notion of a man with the best interests of his country at heart, it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee. It takes a special kind of delusion to not see the obvious truth in all this.

Stupid is as stupid does!

This morning on CNN one of their most senior and valued journalists announced that he is going to leave his post even though he has great regard for CNN and its reputation. The implication was that his words were violating some sort of bogus standard set by Trump and his ridiculous “yes man” Justice department. But when the journalist announced he would be leaving, he said that he would keep on speaking the truth and hoped his audience would too.And already freedom of the press is in danger, even though Trumpers know damn well that the sum of 1+1= 2, and it will always be 2 – not 7, or some other number!

No matter where or how any of us were raised, the basic laws of mathematics and Physics were developed thousands of years ago, and are not going to change for anyone. 
So, although Trump has filed 60 court cases trying to prove that the 2020 election was stolen from him, his grievances were all thrown out for their simple lack of evidence! We all know it takes real evidence for any judge or jury to reach a verdict—such as proving whether a “deep State” really exists – So what do Trump’s admirers say?–(well), that all the Federal judges (including several of who were installed by Trump), are so afraid of being killed or injured unless they judged that a deep state didn’t exist–But how in the world can such powerful Federal Judges even be so intimidated?Hasn’t Trump been screaming about the “deep state” for more than 8 years​ now without proving anything about its existence? So has this deep state killed any of his judges? 

C’mon Trumpers, spill the beans already!Wouldn’t you think that after more than 8 years of wailing, Trump would have at least given us (some) hard facts that prove a “deep state,” exists? If the only proof he offers is his claims, 

which amount to exactly 0% of nothing...what can any sane man conclude?
Maybe, err, that the whole issue was concocted by Trump to weasel his way into power (again)?—There we go!!--How about asking instead if there are any reasonable doubts about what Trump’s real intentions were?Freedom of the Press is a fundamental defense relied on by any free society! It can be used to dispel any lies and false claims that fascists and oligarchs invent, and it can also convince Trump’s followers that an all-powerful entity, like the “deep state” really exists! It all depends on which news sources dispense proven facts. If Fox News misinforms us, then perhaps 95%% of us might be found voting to re-elect Trump to a third term–just as Putin’s puppet government has enabled him to be elected by at least a 95% margin for decades---giving him a false mandate to do anything that he damn well pleases!—You know, the Russian government that jails or kills its dissidents if they fail to march completely in step with Russian propaganda!I am far from being a brave man but I’m going to keep writing letters to local news sources, particularly the Duluth Reader, which is non-profit, and can’t be forced to publish what power-hungry corporate oligarchs tell it to publish!However, Trump’s devotees still seem willing to fight the notion that 1+1=2--if that makes their propaganda sound more credible, even though rational facts are part of everyone’s primary school education.One Trumper commenting on a forum, told me that Big Brother protected the people from the vile lies of left-wing Radicals, backed by a justice department that had been weaponized by the (deep state). He had no idea that “Big Brother” is a fictional entity in the Novel “1984”--one that the government uses as a propaganda device to give people a false sense of safety while under Big Brother’s complete control.Thus even if I have to send (anonymous) letters to the press, I will keep on defending the many ways that Democracy is intended to work. If no one resists Trump, then no one will be able to reveal the thousands of lies and shameful schemes that Trumpers are using to paint an unreal version of “the good old days”--just as ordinary people who followed Jim Jones, gladly swallowed his poison kool-aid after they being emotionally persuaded to do his bidding!Trumpers have been defending the political folly of their king, while they remain willfully ignorant in so many ways! Trump has been grooming us with ridiculous lies and demented proposals!--all of which sound dumb, (because they really are dumb)! We might see him take over Greenland and annex Canada you know? One thing though, if he isn’t stopped, He’ll rename the gulf, “The Gulf of Trump!” You can bet on it! Because many of his followers are still faithfully waiting for Mexico to pay for his wall?
