Watch out for those commie Leftists

I picked up an October 17 Reader, and began reading through it. The Inbox talked about 40 million received for “clean energy”, saying continued funding will be needed, blamed the US for “genocide” in Palestine and called the U.S. “one gigantic evil killing machine”.  Turn 2 more pages and the article denigrates Ronald Reagan, blames the 34 trillion $ national debt on “failure to tax the wealthy to pay old bills”.  Another page and the next article has President Trump as the Village Idiot and then there’s an article blasting the GOP for supporting voter ID.  

The message is clear: The Reader is steeped in far Leftist politics and promotes its positions as truth.  Such tearing down of our nation and leaders, disrespect for others, half truths, deliberate misrepresentations, etc. is what’s polarizing our great country.
Since that publication, the election has clearly shown that the majority do NOT support the Left’s adjenda.  
The hard Lefts positions are against God, the family, and traditional values.  They try to pit racial and economic groups and even family against each other.  They undermine our values, weaken our nation and are in line with goals of communism.
I urge people of conscience to stop listening to only Democrat leftists. Look up real facts on issues and listen to both sides with an open and critical mind.  You may be surprised at what you find.

Two peas in a pod

It’s becoming clearer to me that trump and Putin want to rule the world. Trump has already said that he wants Canada, Greenland, Panama and the Guza strip. He’s as much as said that Putin and Russia should take over Ukraine and they’ve already taken over crimeria. Trump had already hinted that European countries are wrong about everything. So it wouldn’t surprise me if he gives Putin the OK to invade them. It also wouldn’t surprise me if Trump declares himself ruler instead of president of our country like Putin did in Russia.

Scum floats to the top

The richest man in the world is now destroying programs, and entire agencies, meant to aid the poorest people in the world. At the same time he is attempting to demoralize and traumatize most of the federal workforce. And so extreme is his pathology that he feels absolutely no compunction about the damage he is doing. Law and order is for other people. The constitution matters not. Forget about silly things like truth and democracy. Capitalism is now a death cult, and Musk and Trump, far from being anomalies, are the perfect representatives of it. This madness will soon take its toll on Americans, but before the next elections Trump’s quislings in Congress will make it much more difficult to vote. This is what’s become of our great American melting pot, where those on the bottom get burned and the scum floats to the top.

Marking a sad anniversary

Tuesday, Feb. 25, was the one-year anniversary of Aaron Bushnell’s great sacrifice to draw attention to the role of the United States in the genocide of Palestinians.  Bushnell immolated himself in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington D.C. and died of his injuries shortly after.
As an active member of the military, he gave his life to protest the killing of people in Gaza by U.S. weapons and with the full involvement of U.S. forces ( at the very minimum loading and delivering weapons) in an illegal slaughter and occupation.  It was not a suicide but a solemn act of moral courage.

Full respect to Airman Bushnell.  There are not many such people of conscience in the world.  May his memory bring out the best efforts for peace and justice in all of us, particularly in his fellow service members.  A U.S. invasion of Gaza would be a major crime against humanity. 
Aaron Bushnell’s last words were “Free Palestine.” May it come to pass soon.

Blame it on unproven crimes

As has been MAGA’s way of dealing with criticism, they deflect blame by accusing Democrats of even worse offenses, and in his Feb. 15 letter [not in this newspaper], one author used this table-turning defense, by comparing the extreme actions of the Jan. 6th mob with the actions of protesters in Baltimore, Seattle, Portland and Minneapolis. CNN says that, in Minneapolis, an officer kneeled on the neck of George Floyd for 9 minutes and 29 seconds while he gasped for air and pleaded with that officer.

In all of the conflicts, protesters were legally protesting situations, including police brutality that occurred indiscriminately in Portland, Seattle, St. Paul and Baltimore, but Biden’s decision to commute Leonard Peltier’s sentence was different.
A Native American activist, Leonard Peltier was arrested for the death of two FBI agents who were killed on June 26, 1975, but much of the evidence against him was withheld by the FBI.
On that day, both FBI agents were trying to arrest Jimmy Eagle for burglary at the Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota, but Peltier and several AIM members were camping with him. Activist Joe stuntz was killed In a resulting firefight, in which  FBI Agents Jack Coler and Ronald Williams also died after being wounded from a distance and then executed at point-blank range.  Peltier and two other activists were arrested for their murder.

Peltier admitted being at the gunfight but denied shooting the FBI agents. And even though Peltier was convicted on two counts of murder, his lawyers found that some of the evidence was fabricated. And eventually, the FBI admitted to withholding thousands of documents that pertained to the trial. 
It was also discovered that the gun used by prosecutors to win convictions did not belong to Peltier and that there were no eyewitnesses to the murders. Ballistic evidence also revealed that the AR-15 used to kill both agents was not Peltier’s, and no match was made of the firing pin because it was smooth.

In contrast, the Jan. 6th rioters violently attacked the Capitol building, and the Jan. 6 committee uncovered many violent actions done by them on Jan. 6, 2021
However, consider that Human Rights watchdogs, like Amnesty International, Nelson Mandela, Archbishop Tutu, Mother Teresa and the 14th Dalai Lama, all sought clemency for Peltier. And yes, before Biden left office, Biden did grant pardons and commutations to 2,500 individuals, However, almost all of them were guilty of non-violent drug offenses.

In 2021 Federal Officials estimated that 10,000 rioters entered the capitol grounds, and in December the Secret Service and the FBI estimated that 1,200 entered the building. But, after Trump was newly Inaugurated he granted, “full, complete, and unconditional pardons,” to all those who were accused of attacking the Capitol.

Yet MAGA supporters let all of this go in one ear and out the other,  preferring to gripe about the pardon Trump gave his son, along with other pardons and commutations that he gave to people convicted of non-violent offenses.

If Biden felt any guilt, it was because the evidence against Peltier had been withheld, while so many small offenders had been jailed for non-violent crimes!
