A choice of bum or tramp
Before I write about this week’s subject, I would like to give VP Kamala Harris some advice. The weird former president from More-Loco-Than-Ever, who lied 30,573 times in his four-year term according to the Washington Post, called you a “bum” last week while mispronouncing your first name. 
The Manhattan village idiot who averaged 20 lies a day while pretending to be the most powerful man in the world is disrespecting you. A “bum” is a person who “acquires by begging or sponging.” I suggest you chastise the liar, who is probably lying 100 times a day now, by calling him “Mr. Tramp” instead of “Mr. Trump.” 

A tramp is ‘a person who travels aimlessly about, doing odd jobs, or begging, as a vagrant.” Maybe “Tramp” would drive him around the bend of Narcissism River.
I see Scott Hennen of local Radio Trumpistan fame must have swallowed a jeroboam of Trump champagne and lies while waving Trump’s flags in his Forum column. He wrote: “The Republican National Convention in Milwaukee was one for the ages. (It sure was!) America saw Trump as a father, grandfather, a friend and someone who genuinely loves America. He promised to ‘usher in the rich and wonderful tomorrows that our people truly deserve. Trump promised that he would secure the future for all Americans,’ citizens of every race, religion, color and creed.” The last night was “one for the ages,” featuring three guys, Hulk Hogan, Kid Rock, and Donald Tramp, all featured time after time for rape and sexual harassment. 

The Chosen One is going to secure the future of all those rapists, M-13s, fentanyl carriers, Muslims, drug cartel troops, Hindus, Buddhists, and American Indians? Trump certainly “ushered for the rich” with his tax cuts and cuts to food stamps (SNAP) and Medicaid. Scott, I must have missed you are representing the MAGA cult from another planet. I suggest you read the books written by niece Mary and nephew Fred Trump III about the characteristics of a racist socio-psychopath deranged with malignant narcissism.

Project 2025 is an ideological program that will take America back to 1325
The Chosen One was elected by racist White evangelical and fundamentalist Christians in the South and American “conservative” Roman Catholics who dominated Vatican conservative bishops, cardinals and popes opposed to “intrinsically disordered” homosexuality, contraceptives, abortion and LBGTQIA+ gender fluidity. He has no political or religious ideology. He loves only himself and trades power for votes.

American-style democracy has been in serious trouble since five conservative Roman Catholics on the Supreme Court made the 2010 Citizens United decision allowing billionaires and millionaires to dump billions of dollars to politicians and political parties, thus attracting drifters, schemers, fraudsters and billionaires who believe they are the smartest guys in the room because they have made lots of money. Think Elon Musk.

To be blunt about it, as an ex-Catholic of 67 years, I can see why Roman Catholics who believe everything old gray men in the Vatican have thought about for centuries has ended up in what is called Project 2025. 
The Trumplican political platform outlines what “Tramp” accomplish if he is elected. Kevin Roberts, the president of the conservative Heritage Foundation and leading architect of the 2025 Project, is a member of Opus Dei, where he gets regular spiritual guidance from the Washington. D.C. Opus Dei Center. Opus Dei was founded in 1928 by a Spanish priest trained in law (he was canonized a Catholic saint in 2002). Opus Dei’s goal is to “implement Christian ideals and values that the Vatican has supported for many centuries.”

The organization accepts the teaching authority of the Vatican without question and has been involved in controversy and secret activities, including cultlike practices. Some members still believe that heretics should be burned at the stake in public. The main duty of women who join Opus Dei is to serve the men of the organization as maids, cooks, servers and servants. 

All voters should become familiar with this religious and political organization which is currently in 66 countries and has about 90,000 members. Read about it. You may be living under its rule in 2025 and wearing a cilice to form a cicatrice.
Trump claims he knows nothing about Project 2025, so he doesn’t endorse it. That’s lie #130,574 since January 6, 2020. He can’t ignore the project because the Heritage Foundation supervised its preparation with the help of more than 100 other conservative think tanks that don’t think much except to take operating millions from billionaires.

Here are a few policies that will happen if Project 2025 is implemented
1. Cut Social Security and Medicare benefits and Increase eligibility standards, work requirements, and other tests which will curtail access to Medicaid which has already reduced enrollment by 23 million since 2023.
2. Increase work requirements for food stamps although most of the recipients are households with children, elderly people and people with disabilities.
3. End universal free school meals in school districts with high poverty rates to provide free breakfast and lunch programs during the summer.
4. Totally eliminate Head Start programs that currently service 800,000 poor families with young children. This growth program has served 39 million children since its inception in 1965.
5. Eliminate the federal Department of Education and the Food and Drug Administration. Ban Black history courses, courses involving slavery and gender fluidity studies in schools.
6. End “Housing First” programs and prohibit non-citizens from living in low-income public housing. Pass laws prohibiting sleeping on public property.
7. Restrict access to contraceptives, abortion and other reproductive rights.
8. Eliminate the use of contraceptives and promote the use of the rhythm method of birth control, known by the general user as “Vatican Roulette.” End birthright for babies born in the Divided States of America.
9. End climate change programs such as gas mileage requirements and electric vehicle and charging station programs.
10. Eliminate regulations for pollution controls on coal-fired power plants.
11. Develop “drill, baby, drill” programs and remove regulations restricting fracking.
12. Prioritize traditional marriage, eliminate same-sex marriages and curtail LBGTQIA+ programs.
13. Protect 2nd Amendment and fight attempts at any gun controls.
14. Eliminate the Department of Labor. Replace most federal employees with Trump loyalists. Pass right-to-work laws in states allowing public and private unions.
15. Increase military spending and slash social welfare programs to pay for it.
This is just a short list of what is in the 900-page plan to romance a White Christian Nationalist. In 2024 60% of American households live paycheck-to-paycheck and can’t come up with $400 for emergencies. More than 140 million Americans live in poverty. But the Top Ten Percent own 90 Percent of the assets and money in the DSA, the greatest economic inequality in the world among industrialized nations.

Will the Catholic Church trash the 14th and move to the 21st century?
Congress currently has 469 Christians composed of 303 Protestants, 148 Catholics, 34 Jews, 3 Muslims, 2 Buddhists, 1 Atheist and 44 that refuse to name a religion or the lack thereof. 
Hundreds of Protestant ministers have been elected to Congress and only two Catholic priests have served. Finally, Pope John Paul decided no priests should run for political office. So, that means we are governed by people who believe in God, or god, or goddesses, who don’t want people to know what they do believe in, people who wrap rattlesnakes around their necks, stomp around, speaking in tongues, ranging to those who stay on their knees for hours a day, pleading with some superior force to do the right thing. 

There are about 40 religions and more than 26,000 denominations. Because people are drifting away from religions by tsunami waves, some of these religions are in Intensive Care while others are in Hospice. In the Divided States of America there is strong debate over the LBGTQIA+ community, particularly transgenders. More than 500 bills about transgenders and gender-affirming care have been placed on legislative dockets. Before they debate these bills, all politicians should read the following letter in The New York Times from an anonymous Black mother from San Antonio (slightly edited):

“I appreciated the depth and thoughtfulness of Mrs. Paul’s column. But as the mother of a trans daughter, I question her conclusion that the evidence is against gender-affirming care, given the confusing mix of information, research, opinion and anecdotes swirling around the issue. My child told us clearly she was a girl a few days shy of her fourth birthday, and she has been clear about her gender identity ever since. We have been through years of family counseling, and she has continued with an individual counselor as well. We have tried to be careful, not make assumptions in either direction and listen well. Now 10, she has expressed to me and my husband extreme distress at the idea of going through puberty as a boy. Since we live in a state that does not allow puberty blockers, we have begun the process of trying to find her care elsewhere. The expense and exhaustion of having to go out of state, what is clear to me as a parent is that forcing my daughter to wait until she had fully developed as a male before being able to access medical interventions would be cruel. Every day for her would be an agony.

And in a country where transgender people of color are disproportionately targeted as victims of violent crimes, forcing her to look like a man who is dressed like a woman would result in serious harm. Why can’t we allow for more nuance? Is the medical system unable to handle differentiating care? Why must we outlaw medical interventions that for a small minority are quite literally lifesaving? Why can’t we put into place reasonable safeguards to protect the many so that a few can still access the care we need?”  

Politicians: LEAVE THE TRANS CARE TO MEDICAL PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT IGNORANT OF THE CONSEQUENCES.
For the first time since gay Leonardo DaVinci finished St Peter’s dome and gay Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel ceiling, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has decided to craft directives for Catholic hospitals for the medical care for transgenders and other LBGTQIA+ members. The bishops oversee about one in seven hospital beds in the DSA. 

This should be the most interesting battle between Middle Age bishops and Modern Age bishops since 1 AD. Remember: German bishops who have supervision of the old stamping grounds of Pope Benedict have already threatened to establish separate churches if the Vatican refuses to accept the LBGTQIA+ community and the one percent of humanity who are transgenders. 

Refusal to act will force the church into religious bankruptcy in Europe. If the DSA bishops decide there is no disorder in the body that needs to be addressed and that homosexuals are still “intrinsically disordered” and will remain forever so, there’s going to be Holy Hell to pay for the 2,000-year-old church in this country.

A reminder: Stonewall Sports, an LBGTQ sports nonprofit, sponsored a sports tournament last weekend for 3,000 active members in the Twin Cities and more than 2,500 from around the country who had registered for the tournament. The Paris Olympics have 175 recognized transgender participants.
