Duluth ALL Souls Night Saturday, Nov. 4, 4:30-9:30 p.m. Lake Superior Railroad Museum Warms up at 4:30 with face-painting, open mic and poetry; opening ceremony at 6:30, then outside a funeral march for Rotten Ideas; light show, fire dancing and live music at the Library Plaza; then back inside for a concert by Sadkin.

Lucy Kaplansky Wednesday, Nov. 8, 7:30 p.m. The West Theatre American folk musician who happens to have a PhD in clinical psychology, but was drawn to music by friends like Shawn Colvin, Suzanne Vega and John Gorka. In the late ‘90s she formed the supergroup Cry Cry Cry with Richard Shindell and Dar Williams.
