R&B legend John Ellison will perform at Radio Waves Music Festival.

Radio Waves Music Festival Sept. 8-10 Sweetheart’s Bluff, Grand Marais Twenty-two local, regional and national acts take the stage this year, including R & B legend John Ellison, songwriter of “Some Kind of Wonderful.” Other acts include Briand Morrison & Roxann Berglund, Evening Stars, Sam Miltich & Clearwater Hot Club,  David Huckfelt & Jeremy Ylvisaker and Rich Mattson & The Northstars.

Tina Scariano Monday, Sept. 11, 7 p.m. Hibbing High School Musician, actor and podcaster has toured the country as lead singer of A Band Called Honalee and is now doing a solo ‘70s folk rock show,”Feels Like Home,” celebrating the queens of rock such as Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Nicks, Carly Simon and Joni Mitchell.  

Sailaway Social Tuesday, Sept. 12, 6 p.m. DECC Free, open to the community and filled with drinks and food, this event sponsored by The City of Duluth, Duluth Port Authority and the DECC toasts the final cruise ship of the season (The Viking Polaris) as it sails under the bridge, creating a photographable moment.
