Iron Range Original Music Assoc. Multi-Venue Event Friday, April 21, 6 pm. Virginia Nine Iron Range musical acts perform at three venues (Sugar Shack, Pauly G’s, Rainy Lake Saloon) in one hellacious evening. Includes Thor Leseman, Mya Petroskey, Pocketknife, Josh Palmi & The Strange Frequencies, Horse Fzce and Rich Mattson & The Northstars.  

Dan Israel Friday, April 21, 7:30 p.m. Sacred Heart Last seen at Sacred Heart almost a year ago for the Duluth Dylan Fest, the acclaimed Minnesota folk rocker performs both solo and with a full band, with Dan on lead/rhythm guitar, Dave Russ on drums and Mike Lane on bass. Adam Herman of The Slamming Doors opens.  

Nell Gwynn April 21-30 St. Scholastica Theatre Comedy set in London circa 1660 and based on true history. An orange seller becomes one of the first female stage performers of the era and catches the eye of King Charles ll, but finds that being the king's mistress and the world's most beloved actress is not without risks.  

Iron Range Earth Fest Saturday, April 22, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Iron Trail Motors Event Center, Virginia Held on the Range annually since 2009, this free event brings area folks together to network around sustainability, this year with the theme, “For the children, for us all.” Speakers, exhibits, vendors, music, food, children’s activities and free electronics recycling. 

Echoes of Peace Choir Saturday, April 22, 7 p.m. Zeitgeist Arts Directed by Sara Thomsen, the choir performs songs from around the world, songs that call for justice and peace, songs of hope and longing, and songs that are simply fun and full of celebration. This show is in conjunction with the “Seeds of Repair’ art exhibit.  

The Cloud Messenger Saturday, April 22, 7:30 pm. Sunday, April 23, 3 pm. UMD Weber Music Hall Adaptation of Kālidāsa’s Sanskrit poem about an exiled spirit who asks a cloud to pass a love message to his wife in the Himalayas. Gustav Holst’s choral epic was ignored in its 1913 debut, but has since been revered as a great work of romanticism, here performed by the UMD Choir and Orchestra.  

Art Night Out Tuesday, April 25, 5:30-8 p.m. Lake Superior Railroad Museum Enjoy light apps and a cash bar, hear artist talks from Carole d’Inverno, Alexa Carson, Robert DeArmond, Karen Keenan & Ray Shelerud, and chat with the artists in the upstairs galleries.
