Titanic Event Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum Now through Sunday, April 16 The Titanic launched on April 10, 1912 and sank April 15. Karpeles Museum hosts its annual free event this week. Receive the boarding pass of one of the passengers, get a tour of the museum and at the end, receive either an obituary or a news article about your passenger.

The Big Wu plays Friday & Saturday nights and six other bands play Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Next door, Caribou Highlands hosts the Caribbean-themed “We Be Jammin’” party on Saturday.  

Josh Cleveland Band Friday, April 14, 7 p.m. Caddy Shack Not from Cleveland, alas, but the Twin Cities is good enough. Josh cites influences that include Def Leppard, Pearl Jam, Paula Abdul, Martin Sexton and Stevie Wonder, which should yield interesting results. With Tres Ojos.  

Christian Moreno Cova Collective Saturday, April 15, 7 p.m. Duluth Cider Part of the Jazz Appreciation Month (JAM) series of concerts for April. Venezuelan-born pianist Moreno Covid is a graduate of the UMD Jazz Studies, known for his innovative compositions and arrangements. With Post-Haste and the Esko High School Jazz Band.  

Open The Door To Studio Four Sunday, April 16, 2-9 p.m. Duluth Depot Full-day music fundraiser for Minnesota Ballet’s Studio Four Theater, a welcoming space for the local arts community. With Tommy Wotruba, Gordon Thorne, Erin McCawley, Maxi Childs Trio, Todd Eckart, Born Too Late and The Fractals.  

Tinsley Ellis & Marcia Ball Wednesday, April 19, 7:30 p.m. The West Theatre Two blues greats weave music with stories from their years on the road, first with separate sets, then as a duo. Tinsley will play songs from his 20 albums plus classics on guitar. Five-time Grammy nominee Ball will perform her often raucous and sometimes touching originals on piano.
