Massive Sulfide Mining Intrusion: Mississippi & St. Croix Rivers at Risk

The DNR has approved Kennecott-Rio Tinto and Talon Metals mining corporations to explore a large area centered in Tamarack, Minn. with a high concentration of copper and nickel. The area is astride a major watershed divide separating the Mississippi and the St. Croix Rivers. Don Arnosti, Conservationist and WaterLegacy Board Member, will discuss this new sulfide mining threat.
