Grab N' Go

Carol George

After heading out the door, swing by Beaner's Central at 324 North Central Ave for a cup of locally-roasted Alakef Coffee, a delish breakfast burrito or homemade muffin. Owner, Jason Wussow's smile and genuine warmth is as radiant as the morning sun. Head on over to Munger Trail for a leisurely stroll or bike ride.

For a quick picnic, grab a made-to-order sandwich from Northern Waters Smokehaus or Chinese Take-out from Taste of Saigon or China Café.  As you stroll over to the Lakewalk, passing street musicians along the way, you will find that perfect bench where you can quietly enjoy your lunch while pondering the gemlike radiance of the lake.

If you’re feeling a bit more ambitious, you can swing over to Mt. Royal Grocery, and equip yourself with a picnic basket, a loaf of freshly baked bread, imported cheeses and fresh fruit then head to Brighton Beach or one of our thirty-plus parks within Duluth’s city limits.

Loyal customers rave about Duluth's Central Hillside's 4th Street Market's daily specials. Rumor has it 'round the 'hood, there's something legendary about 4th Street Market's Tuesday's Special, "Hillside Tacos." Guess where we're going this Tuesday for our Grab n' Go lunch?

In the same neck of the woods as Beaner's, Gannuccis Italian Market at 301 N Central Ave is purported to have a mouth-watering pastrami sub as well as an impressive array of imported meats and cheeses that could fill any picnic basket.
